On 6 August 2019, the Western Rock Lobster (WRL) Council made a final recommendation to the Minister for Fisheries, the Hon. Dave Kelly for the Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC) for the 2020/21 season.

Having considered the rationale outlined in the Council’s letter and advice from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Fisheries Division (Fisheries), the Minister has confirmed the TACC for the 2020/21 season will be increased 5% to 6,615 tonnes.
