Below you can view/download the latest Instrument of Exemptions (IOE) relevant to your fishing operations:
Added 03 May 2019 IOE 2019 – enabling Setose western rock lobsters taken under exemption in the West Coast Rock Lobster Managed Fishery and the South Coast Crustacean Managed Fishery to be held after 31 October 2019 (until 30 November) by relevant class of persons; and to allow setose western rock lobsters, taken under exemption in the above mentioned fisheries which become tarspot or berried, to continue to be held and sold by processors and registered receivers (until 30 November).
Added 30 April 2019 IOE 2019 – permitting the taking, possession, consignment and selling of setose western rock lobster from the Fishery during the Whale mitigation period (1 May to 31 October), for the relevant class of persons.
Added 09 November 2018 IOE 3197 – to give effect to Phase Four of the Local Lobster Program, to be held from the 1 December 2018 – 30 April 2019.
Added 31 October 2018 IOE 3188 – permitting increased pot usage in the period 1 November 2018 – 30 April 2019.
Added 04 October 2018 Marine Safety (Recreational use) Exemption 2018 (No. 2) – Amendments have been made to Exemption 04—Marine Safety (Recreational use) that means a domestic commercial vessel that is being operated for recreational purposes is exempt from the crewing requirements and operational area limitations imposed by the national law and its certificate of operation, subject to the conditions.
Added 27 April 2018 IOE 3106 – permitting the taking, possession, consignment and selling of setose western rock lobster from the Fishery during the Whale mitigation period (1 May to 31 October), for the relevant class of persons.
Added 27 April 2018 IOE 3107 – permitting PROL licence holders PROL1013, PROL1031, PROL1036, PROL1055, PROL1056 and PROL1086 to possess, consign and sell to non-domestic markets, totally protected western rock lobster as described under the Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995.
Added 12 April 2018 IOE 3094 – permitting western rock lobsters taken in the WCRL fishery to be landed at Augusta Marina, Mangles Bay and Big Pigeon Island. This exemption essentially is a ‘renewal’ of Exemption 2925, which expired January 2018.
