As we approach the 2026 West Coast Rock Lobster Annual Management Meetings (AMMs) in Fremantle and Geraldton, I want to emphasise the importance of your participation.
A significant focus during the afternoon sessions will be discussions around the Harvest Strategy and TACC setting process including voting. This will be Members only opportunity to participate in the TACC setting process by means of registered voting cards, in person, at the events.
The AMM industry forums are not formal meetings under the WRL Rules of Association and do not bind WRL therefore no proxies will be accepted
. MFL holder opinion is an important input to the TACC recommendation decision and will be given due consideration by the WRL Board together with other evidence presented in Stages 1, 2 and 3 when formulating its advice on the TACC to the Minister.

Discussions will continue on deregulation items, where solutions have been progressed, and identifying any additional items . That is, what rules in the fishery should be removed or changed to improve your business and make your fishing operations easier. This can include anything such as fishing rules, quota management, entitlements gear usage etc.
I encourage you to make the time to attend at this critical time in the fishing industry. More information will be circulated closer to the time.
