The DECK Program is designed to offer comprehensive professional development and learning opportunities for all members of the Western rock lobster industry. Through a series of interactive sessions, the program aims to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in key areas such as resource management, industry representation, and small business operations.

Participants will engage with industry experts, explore innovations, and build networks through a variety of workshops and discussions. Additionally, the program features a social dinner, providing a relaxed setting for participants to connect and share ideas with peers, Board members, industry experts and guest speakers. DECK is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of professionals committed to advancing the Western Rock Lobster industry.

Nothing! The DECK Program is open and available to anyone in the Western rock lobster industry at NO COST.

Financial assistance is available for travel and accommodation to ensure accessibility for all participants.

The DECK Program is open to all WRL members, skippers, deckhands, and commercial fishers.

It is designed for anyone interested in developing their expertise in resource management and small business operations specific to the Western rock lobster industry.

What to Expect at the DECK Program?

The forums are held over two days, with a social dinner arranged between the sessions for participants, guest speakers, WRL Board Members, and senior DPIRD executives. It’s an excellent chance to to network with colleagues and industry leaders.

This year’s DECK will take place from midday on Tuesday 15th October, to midday on Wednesday 16th October in Geraldton.
