Kicking Goals On and Off the Field – Clontarf Foundation

On Wednesday, 2 April 2025, WRL’s Matt Taylor and Cam Allen had the pleasure of attending the annual Clontarf Cup Football Carnival at Langley Park—a day that brought together community, culture, leadership and sport in a powerful way.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Perth City and the Swan River, the day began with an Executive Breakfast, attended by a line-up of esteemed guests including Their Excellencies The Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, Senator the Honourable Sue Lines, and Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister, The Honourable Pat Gorman MP, along with several WA Parliamentarians.

Following a smoking ceremony, the energy ramped up as Clontarf Foundation supporters and sponsors cheered on a series of high-spirited footy matches, played in true Clontarf spirit. A shared BBQ lunch the 100m dash added to the fun and camaraderie of the day.

Congratulations to the Belmont/Scotch Academies (Division 1 winners) and the Fremantle/Esperance Academies (Division 2 winners) on their fantastic wins!

The Clontarf Cup continues to make a lasting impact, empowering young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men through mentorship, opportunity and the unifying power of sport.

Western Rock Lobster is proud to stand alongside the Clontarf Foundation and support their vision for strong, confident, and capable young leaders.
