WRL’s ARMA Working Group is pleased to release to its members its explanatory PowerPoint presentation on the Aquatic Resources Management Act 2016 (WA) (ARMA) and accompanying notes. The presentation will assist members’ understanding of the new legislation and highlight some key changes for members to be aware of.

Importantly, the presentation is structured so that it covers important parts (akin to chapters) of ARMA. This means that there are slides ranging from ‘the Objects of the Act’ to ‘Managed Aquatic Resources’ to ‘Aquaculture’ and ‘Aquatic Biosecurity’.
Members will observe that the document has been drafted so that it is useful for any person in the WA fishing industry, not just our western rock lobster industry members. The presentation and its accompanying notes are considered to be ‘live documents’, which means they will be continually updated (for instance, when the new regulations are provided).
