The partnership sees the Western Rock Lobster Council (WRL) team up with the West Australian Good Food Guide (WAGFG) to promote Western Australian rock lobster to the hospitality industry and consumers seeking exceptional dining experiences.
WRL is proud to announce its partnership with the WA Good Food Guide for 2024, highlighting our commitment to elevating the presence of rock lobster in Western Australia’s vibrant hospitality scene.
The WA Good Food Guide (WAGFG) is an independent media and events platform focused on recognising and celebrating the WA hospitality industry. Through their annual program of activities, including an annual restaurant guide, regular editorial and video content, and engaging events across the state, they showcase the best of WA’s culinary scene.
This partnership presents an invaluable opportunity for our industry to showcase the exceptional quality of Western Australian rock lobster, as well as the fishery at large, to their community, including the hospitality industry and consumers seeking great dining experiences.
As part of this collaboration, WRL will be the exclusive presenter oof WAGFG’s inaugural Best Pubs List. This list will feature the top pubs and breweries in WA, with the top 20 and Pub of the Year award revealed at a major awards night on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Georgia Moore, Director of The West Australian Good Food Guide, said “Celebrating the West Australian pub scene in a meaningful way has been a goal of ours for some time. With an experienced team in place that will be pulling up stools and assessing each venue with rigour, we are now in a fortunate position to do this to the high standards we hold ourselves to, thanks to the support of the Western Rock Lobster Council.”
“The values we share around supporting the hospitality community have made the Western Rock Lobster Council the perfect partner for this new list.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with The West Australian Good Food Guide as the exclusive presenter of the new Pubs List. This initiative not only highlights our dedication to promoting the rock lobster industry but also reinforces our bond with the vibrant hospitality sector. We’re looking forward to collaborating further to showcase the exceptional quality of Western Australian rock lobster on local menus, enriching the culinary scene across the region”, said Matt Taylor, Western Rock Lobster Council CEO.
